Vet Camp 2023

Vet Camp 2023 has concluded.  Thank you to our wonderful presenters families and especially all the kids for making it another great year!

Summer dates 2024 should be posted here and on our Indian Trail Animal Hospital Facebook page by March 1, 2024.

Below is a glimpse of what each camp session will include but is not limited to...

Adventures in Veterinary Medicine (elementary/middle):

  • Learn about and practice safe interaction with dogs and cats
  • Have hands-on experience with animal guests
  • Receive a behind the scenes tour of Vet-REC Rehabilitation Clinic or Indian Trail Animal Hospital
  • Examine alternative careers with dogs including pet therapy and pet daycare and boarding
  • Determining which common foods and products are toxic to your pets
  • Understanding how to communicate with dogs by learning their body language
  • Learning about dentistry and creating dog toothpaste to take home
  • Practicing with common veterinary tools
  • Making a fun cat toy

High School Vet Camp:

Hosted by Dr. Cierra Tabony of Indian Trail Animal Hospital

-Learn about and practice safe interaction with dogs and cats
- Animal careers discussion
- First aid for pets activities
- Behind the scenes tours of Indian Trail Animal Hospital and Vet-REC: Veterinary Rehabilitation
- Solve the Mystery case with microscope work
- Other topics by student interest

Notes for Parents

  • Please provide a labeled water bottle at drop off.
  • A snack will be provided each camp day. If your child has food allergies, please send alternate items for their snack.
  • Please note that your charge will appear as ‘C. Tabony Veterinary Relief Services, Inc.’

Refund policy

Camp space is in high demand and all registrations are final. Registration can be applied towards a future camp if your child has to withdraw before the start of camp or isn’t able to attend.
