Information Regarding our COVID-19 Protocols

WE ARE FULLY OPERATIONAL AND CONTINUING CURB SIDE SERVICE DURING PHASE 2.5:

CURB-SIDE CHECK-IN IS REQUIRED

Due to concerns about the novel coronavirus and related disease (COVID-19), we have taken additional precautionary measures within the hospital to keep our staff, doctors, animals, clients, and visitors safe, while continuing to provide patient care.

Upcoming veterinary appointments will continue to take place, but we will ask you to stay in your car for the duration of the appointment.   Drop-off services will also be available for pets that are current on vaccinations.

PHASE 2.5 UPDATE: Car-side check in continues

We continue to be here for your and your pets.

We are keeping curb side service in place for your safety and to ensure that we're doing everything we can to provide uninterrupted care for our clients and pets.   Rest assured that the process is smooth and clients are happy with the process to the extent that we will continue to offer this service post-COVID-19!  This decision has been guided by OSHA, the CDC, the AVMA review as well as local case counts.  We can't wait to see our wonderful clients back inside when it is advisable, but that time just isn't quite here yet.

When you arrive with a pet for car-side service:

Call our main line at 704-821-7040 – we will connect you with the correct team member for your need/request (please be patient, our phone lines are occasionally overwhelmed with the volume of calls - thank you!)

Please remain in your vehicle with your animal. Ensure that small pets are in a carrier.

For appointments:

A team member will come to the parking lot to meet your pet and bring them into the building for evaluation after the initial phone conversation.

After your veterinarian evaluates your animal, you will receive a phone call to discuss recommendations and a plan moving forward. Verbal consent for treatment and details surrounding financial estimates will be authorized via this phone call.

When service is complete, we will call to obtain payment - Credit card payments are preferred, but cash and CareCredit will also be accepted.

Your pet and any medications or items to go home will be brought back to you in your vehicle.

*Exceptions to the above are fearful pets that need assistance from their family getting into the building and end-of-life appointments. Please avoid bringing additional family members if you do come into the building and help us by wearing a mask and being sure to wash or sanitize upon entry.*

For medication refills and pickups:

  • Please e-mail us at [email protected]antrailah.com (preferred) or call us at 704-821-7040 first to give us time to get your medication together.
  • Call us from your car when you arrive.
  • A customer service representative will take your payment either by phone or send someone out to the parking lot with a sanitized payment device.
  • A team member will deliver your medication to your car.

If you don’t have a cell phone:

  • Please let a customer service representative know this when you schedule your appointment.
  • We will give you alternate instructions for your pet’s appointment.

IMPORTANT NOTE: If you have a fever, cough, lethargy, or have reason to believe you might be sick with ANY condition, please avoid bringing your pet in. If we have seen your pet within a year, we may be able to do a telemedicine consultation over the phone. Regular consultation fees do apply for these appointments. Please inquire at [email protected] or by calling 704-821-7040.

We are so very sorry to inconvenience anyone. Our primary goal is to stay healthy, keep others around us healthy, and continue to provide service throughout the duration of this pandemic.

Cleaning and social distancing procedures:

We are working hard to reduce the risk to everyone who walks through our doors by sanitizing and cleaning frequently as well as avoiding unnecessary contact.

We are continuing to do this by:

  • Asking any staff members who feel ill or have known or suspected exposure to COVID19 to avoid coming into work.
  • Mailing medications or flea/tick and heartworm preventives if you are ill or prefer to not come in.
  • Not shaking hands or having contact with clients or other employees.
  • Offering curb-side check-in appointments.
  • Offering phone consultations/telemedicine for pets that have had an examination by one of our veterinarians within the last year (standard fees apply)
  • Observing social distancing standards with clients

As always, we strive to provide high quality, compassionate care. We need your help to stay healthy enough to do that!

Thank you for your help and understanding and don’t hesitate to let us know how we can help you and your furry family members.

Please stay healthy and remember that we will always do everything that we can to be here for your pets!
